Slater's 50/50:Burgers

Slater's 50/50... Anaheim Hills and Huntington Beach
A delicious find! The name comes from their original hamburger patty which is made of 50% ground bacon and 50% ground beef, you must try it! And there is always a journey awaiting you, because there is always a new burger waiting to be discovered! Try one off of their original menu, or make a unique creation of your own; the options are endless!
The quality of the food is superb, and the taste is beyond delightful, and there is something amazingly delicious for everyone (even vegetarians!).

Peanut Butter & Jelly Burger with Bacon!
I know it sounds weird! But if you LOVE PB&J, you can't go wrong with this!

Fried pickles and Fried Mac N Cheese...
Fried Mac N Cheese is sooo goOoOd! It is small, but mighty ... crunchy, cheese, chewy bite :)
The fried pickles did not impress me, they were just fried dill pickle chips ... just okay.

Jay Bees BBQ:Pulled Pork Sandwich, Mac & Chesse, BBQ Spaghetti

Jay Bees BBQ Gardena,CA                              ACB RATING:9/10
This was another great find from our close & personal friend, "Guy" from the food network. The owner has roots from the south and her family owns some BBQ restaurants in Mississippi ...if i recall correctly. Her family recipe is "bomb diggity", the pork is so tender and juicy, her BBQ sauce is "ridunkulicious" with a big bang to it, and her BBQ spaghetti is unheard of!! WOW!! just delicious...
COMING SOON R&J's from BBQ expert Marnita Billups

America's Cup:Yogurt

America's Cup, Costa Mesa, Ca                     ACB RATING:10/10

America's Cup is a hidden gem! You are greeted by a variety of flavors and toppings. Usually a yogurt place will have fruits this and fruits that. America's Cup does away with those and offers what we call "chocolate flavors." There has been dulce de leche, egg nog, angel food cake, caramel, and cinnamon roll, alongside the classic milk chocolate and and vanilla. Once you're done with yogurt wonderland, there is toppings galore just a few feet over. You have your fruit, cookie dough, cheesecake, and mochi, but it wouldn't be complete without kit-kat bars, heath bars, crunch bars, cookies, and reese's... Oh reese's. Believe us, there are more toppings to choose from, but we can't name them all without being there. Then, you weigh in, and enjoy. Don't get confused between this location and the one on Harbor which has been "Modernized." Stay classic, my friends.

Tito's La Especial:Taco Al Vapor, Super Nachos

Tito's La Especial, Habor Blvd., Santa Ana, Ca                   ACB RATING: 8/10

Tacos al vapor are special because these beef tacos are cooked by steaming them. This makes the meat very juicy and tasty. The best tacos I have ever had were in Tijuana, from a guy at a corner of the street. But this restaurant is a good substitute.
The nachos are always a special treat because they have the same meat, beans, and nacho cheese.
We recommend this place because it is a special kind of meat that is not normally found in the average Mexican food restaurant, and it is tasty!!
Other location: 17th and Ross, Santa Ana, Ca

Joe's Italian Ice:Joe Latti

Joe's Italian Ice, Anaheim, Ca               ACB RATING:10/10
Joe's Ice is a mixture of texture and smoothness! We usually go here for their specialty " Joe Latti" basically it is the worlds best soft serve in the center and top of their freshly made italian ice. The picture above is strawberries and cream with vanilla soft serve. Our personal favorite is mint italian ice with chocolate and vanilla swirl soft serve.

Samurai:Dinner Special and Banana Tempura

Samurai, Fullerton, Ca                       ACB RATING: 7/10(Dinner)
The food here is not that great but still good for the price. Dinner special which consist of a variety of choices (3 entrees). All that for 13.99 so the price was good, but that sushi does not compare to our favorite place Todias. Thats another blog in the future.

                                                          ACB RATING: 10/10(Dessert)
This is the main reason we went to eat here!!! The Banana tempura is just a treat that you would think only exist in candy land. A deep fried banana with amazing fruit ice cream, whip cream, and a drizzle of chocolate. Perfection!

Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles

Roscoe's, Long Beach, CA                           ACB RATING: 10/10
KFC has nothing on this! We had the company of our new eating buddies: Amanda and Steven. Yes, I know chicken and waffles just seem like they don't mix, but it is better than PB&J, Jordan & Pippen. It is just a match made in heaven. Their chicken is just so tender and crispy, it is shocking! The waffles are so soft and full of cinnamon flavor. You get the best of both worlds: chicken and waffles. For your drink, you must order the eclipse (fruit punch, orange juice, and lemonade).

Los Primos: Vikinga

Los Primos, Santa Ana, Ca                                 ACB RATING: 10/10
Five...Five...Five dollar torta!!! Do not judge food from lunch trucks, because sometimes it's a hidden treasure just waiting to be eaten. Well this this place is known for their tortas ahogadas in Spanish that means "drowned". Their tortas are served on this Mexican bread which gives it a crunchy and little salty flavor. The picture below is my favorite torta "Vikinga" it's just a party of flavors in your mouth. It comes with pierna (a type of beef), tomatoes, onions, mustard, crema, panela (Mexican cheese), and their famous pan salado. Then I drown it in their unbelievable salsa de chile and tomate.

The Five Guys: Bacon Cheese Burger

Five Guys, Orange, CA                     ACB RATING: 6/10 (compared to IN N OUT)
We heard that The Five Guys is the "IN N OUT" of the east coast, but IN N OUT you have nothing to worry about. Even though their burgers are made from fresh ingredients and handmade patties, there is something about IN N OUT that is captivating and leaves you wanting more. We felt like the "bang," that mysteriously delicious element,  was missing from this burger joint. The special thing about this is that they have a menu full of toppings you can add onto your burger, free of charge. The bonus is that while you wait, you are greeted with complimentary peanuts.

Milk & Honey: Mini Shaved Ice

Milk & Honey, Costa Mesa, Ca         ACB Rating: 8/10
What! What! shout out to Trashy Trish (LG for life) This hidden dessert was introduced to us by a friend who values convenience over taste. This is a mini Guppies shaved ice, but the best part here is the amazing flavored shaved ice. It is served with yogurt, fruit, and any toppings.

The Gorra (Hat):Chili cheese and Pastrami

The Hat, Brea, Ca                                          ACB RATING:10/10
Come prepared to workout after visiting this place. The Hat is known for their mouth watering pastrami and stomach filling chili. The have various locations throughout Southern Cali. Featured here are our favorites to eat: chili cheese pastrami burger, and chili cheese pastrami fries with tomatoes and pickles. Who knew that chili cheese and pastrami would be so delicious....AMAZING!!!

Tacos El Bravo: Nachos and Tacos

Tacos El Bravo, Costa Mesa, Ca
It is another shout out to Trashy Trish.....thanks again for another good and convenient place. Here we order Tricia's favorite tacos with over filling meat and a side of nachos. Even though the distance was convenient make sure you bring cash.

The PUBlic House: Kobe Burger

The PUBlic House, Old Town Temecula, CA      ACB RATING: 10/10
Is that a Kobe Bryant? No, it is way better. It is a Kobe Burger!
This masterpiece was discovered with the help of a "wine tasting lady." Thank you, wherever you are! This is by far, hands down, the best burger your taste buds will EVER taste. The juiciness of the patti, the sweetness of the bun, and even the vegetables that are in it are all AMAZING! On the side, don't forget to order Blue Tyme Fries (a plate of fries with crumbled blue cheese on top).

Leonardo & Vincci's: Pizza

Leonardo & Vincci's Italian Food, Downtown Fullerton, CA     ACB RATING: 10/10
Whichever pizza you order from this place will be a perfect choice. You can not go wrong with the freshly made pizza dough. Here we are featuring Lasagna Pizza: Ricotta cheese, topped with mountain high mozzarella cheese, topped with tomato, and sausage.
This restaurant does not only offer delicious food, but it will entertain you with its spontaneous and interesting decorations.
For dessert, don't forget to order Italian donuts (made with homemade dough and sprinkled with sugar), and spumoni ice cream!
Monday - Friday 12-3p, a lunch special is offered: $2.95 for a monstrous slice of pizza (cheese or pep.), pasta salad, AND italian salad. Best bang for your buck!!

Guppies Tea House: Shaved Ice/Pineapple Fried Rice

Guppies Tea House, Irvine, Ca                    ACB RATING:10/10
Guppies has two locations one in Irvine and the other in Anaheim. At this place you better come prepared with your team of sweet teeth.  I am holding an enormous bowl of shaved ice, this dessert is served with your choice of ice cream, and fruit, shaved ice, and condensed milk (makes the ice yummy milky). Ours is the super shaved ice (serves 7-8 people), it had mango slices, strawberries and bananas, and vanilla and chocolate ice cream.

They also serve amazing pineapple fried rice in half a pineapple. Bring your A game here!!!

Paul's Coffee Shop

Paul's Coffee Shop, Fountain Valley, CA                ACB RATING: 10/10
We discovered this gold mine from our good friend, Guy Ferri. We hang out with him often when we watch the Diners, Drive-in, and Dives T.V. show featured on the Food Network. The speciality of Paul's Coffee Shop is GRAVY. Featured in this picture is: eggs and house potatoes (left), biscuit and gravy (bottom right), chicken fried steak with gravy (top right).

This is an SOS. In honor of the marine theme of this Coffee Shop, this featured dish is served on a military tray. They make eggs and toast taste amazing with their special meat gravy.

Tacos el Gordo: Tacos de Adobada

Tacos el Gordo, San Diego, CA        ACB RATING: 10/10
These here are some of the best tacos in the world, with freshly handmade corn tortillas . Tacos el Gordo have three locations: Temecula, San Diego and Mexico. Adobada in spanish means "spicy pork." They also come with cilantro, onion, and amazing guacamole!
You can also order, my favorite, una mula de adobado. This delicious creation is a cross between a quesadilla and a taco! It is everything a taco has, plus a Mexican type of cheese (queso oaxaqueno), in between 2 handmade tortillas.

Tacos el Gordo, Temecula, CA

This is a MULA, you should order one
